ARMIN STROM SYSTEM 78 LADY BEAT

A stunningly beautiful piece of Swiss Haute Horlogerie, created specifically for the feminine wrist, the brand new Lady Beat by the Armin Strom manufacture is a wristwatch which perfectly captures the aesthetic essence of this progressive independent brand in a setting of contemporary styling and uncompromising technical innovation, which is designed by women for women.

In an important sector too often under-appreciated by a male dominated industry, the Armin Strom Lady Beat is a refreshing and enticing addition to the portfolio of this young independent company. Consulting with outside (female) designers who understand best the delicate balances of aesthetics and styling which resonate with the modern woman collector, and how to integrate the brand’s distinctive horological innovations into that overall concept, the result is a truly superb wristwatch which is very much of its time.

Presented in a completely newly designed case measuring 38mm across and 11.65mmm tall, and manufactured in stainless steel, the Lady Beat is elegant and sophisticated, with a seamlessly flowing profile into which the lugs are neatly integrated, adding to its sleek and sporty appearance.

Under the sapphire crystal, the layered display is three dimensional, and features an off-set dial for the hours and minutes which rests on a larger underdial, which is cutaway to reveal the distinctive Armin Strom System 78 collection features of the three symmetric bridges, the barrel and regulating organ which captivates with its constant oscillation. With the option of either black or white dials, the surfaces are decorated with contrasting radiating sunray patterns which emanate out from the centre, while polished steel hands indicate the hours and minutes.

Underneath, a sapphire glass caseback reveals a wonderful fan shaped rotor weight which like the rest of the bespoke in-house ALA20 self-winding movement has been finished to the highest standards of Haute Horlogerie, with immaculately executed circular côtes de Genève striping and polished bevelled edges throughout. Beating at 25’200 vib/hour it boasts an impressive 70 hours of power reserve.

The Lady Beat is presented on a matching white or black strap depending on the colour option and is made of rubber, backed with soft alcantara for comfort on the wrist. Stylish, with an outgoing personality, it is a superb piece for the 21st century woman which really stands apart from the norm.
